The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at SVST Kongunadu Polytechnic College, established in 2009, is dedicated to providing students with a strong foundation in both hardware and software skills. Lab Facilities

Our department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories that provide students with the practical skills necessary to excel in the field of electronics and communication engineering. Key laboratories include:
- Electronic Devices Lab: Equipped with Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, CRO Function Generators, Power Supplies, and Trainer Kits for hands-on learning.
- Communication Lab: Features advanced equipment like Spectrum Analyzers, GPIB Interface, Microwave Test Benches, Gunn Oscillator, Klystron Tube, Fiber Optic Trainer Kits, VSWR Meters, Digital Communication Kits, and Antenna Trainer Kits.
- Microprocessor and Controller Lab: Provides training with PIC Microcontrollers, 8051, 8086, and 8085 Kits, Interfacing Cards, Emulators, AC & DC Motor Controllers, and Stepper Motor Controllers.
These laboratories ensure that students are well-versed in the practical application of their theoretical knowledge, making them industry-ready.

Placement
The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at SVST Kongunadu Polytechnic College is committed to enriching students' knowledge across all areas of the field. Through activities like Technical Refreshment and Technical Seminars, we enhance their understanding of manufacturing processes. The department also provides specialized training in EMBEDDED C, PLC, ORCAD, XILINX 9.2i, and other software, partnering with external sources and certifying agencies. Our consistent efforts have led to successful placements of our students in top companies such as Delphi TVS, Lucas TVS, Eureka Forbes, Magna Closures, Avalon Technologies, and more. The department has seen a steady increase in placement rates since 2010.
